Introduction to Agricultural Science
A comprehensive basic course designed to introduce beginning students to world agriculture. The course includes agricultural career development, leadership, communications, and personal finance.

Applied Agricultural Science
A comprehensive, basic, applied course designed to enhance the agricultural comprehension of beginning students. Includes the study of soils, plants, animals, agricultural construction, food science, supervised occupational experience programs and leadership.

Credit: 1/2 unit

Agricultural Communications
A technical course designed to improve communication skills in agriculture, Students are provided knowledege and insight into written, spoken, and visual communication skills and techniques, and their relationship to agriculture. Instructional units on safety, leadership development, entrepreneurship, record keeping, and career opportunities are included.

Enviromental Technology
This introductory course addresses the concepts and skills related to enviromental technology. Study will include components of the environment, renewable and non-renewable natural resources, stewardship of the environment, abouse of natural resources, environmental laws, etc.

Forestry nd Wood Technology
To prepare for careers in environmental and natural resource systems, students need to attain academic skills and knowledge, to aquire knowledge and skills related to environmental and natural resources and the workplace, and to develop knowledge and skills regarding career opportunities, entry requirments, and industry expectations.

Diversified Agriculture
A technical course that emphasizes selecting, producing, and marketing specialized agriculture products. Includes the stude of record keeping, integrated sustems, career opportunities, and leadership.

Introduction to Agricultural Mechanics
Designed to familiarize the student with basic theory and specialized skills in the areas of tool identification and safe use, carpentry, electricity, plumbing, masonry, fence building, painting, metal working, and welding processes.

Agricultural Structures
A course preparing students to maintain, design, and build agricultural structures using approved construction techniques.

Prerequisite: Applied Ag. Science

Agriculture Metal Fabrication Technology
A course to develop skills in metal equipment assembly and joining processes.

Prerequisite: Introduction to Ag. Mechanics

Home Maintenance and Improvement
A course designed to prepare students to improve and maintain the urban or rural home and adjacent buildings. Students are prepared to analyze repair needs and use approved safety techniques.

Animal and Plant Production
A course that includes principles of animal and plant production and the management of soils as related to agriculture.

Credit: 1/2 unit

Animal Science
Designed to develop knowledge and skills pertaining to the nutrition, reproduction, health, and management of domestic animals.

Prerequisite: Plant and Animal Prod.

Introduction to Horticultural Science
A course designed to introduce students to horticulture sciences with emphasis on technical skills, entrepreneurship, and occupational opportunities.

Horicultural Plant Production
A course that prepares students to design, construct, and maintain planted areas and devices for the beautification of home grounds and other areas of human habitation and recreation.

Prerequisite: Intro. to Horticulture

Landscape Design, Construction and Maintenance
A laboratory course that provides students the opportunity to practice skills related to designing, construction and maintenance of landscapes. Includes layout of landscape, choosing shrubs, trees, and flowers and actual construction.

Fruit, Nut, and Vegetable Production
A laboratory course that includes concepts and skills related to fruit, nut, and vegetable production, maintenance, and industry needs.

A course designed to examine the importance of wildlife and outdoor recreation with emphasis on using wildlife and natural resources.

Leadership - Personal Skill Development in Agriculture
A comprehensive course in developing agricultural leadership, citizenship, and cooperation. It includes topics in personal development, employee/employer relations, and group and interpersonal communication skills.

Prerequisite: Applied Ag. Science
Credit: 1/2 unit

Agricultural Power Technology
A course designed to develop skills in selection, operation, and maintenance of small air-cooled engines, multi-cylinder engines, hydraulic motors, electric motors, and agricultural machinery and tractors.

Credit: 1/2 unit

Food Technology
A course concerning world food production; the processing, preparing, and packaging of foods; regulations regarding foods; exploring occupational opportunities; and leadership development.

Prerequisite: Applied Ag. Science
Credit: 1/2 unit

General Agricultural Mechanics
A laboratory oriented course involving welding, building, and maintaining farm machinery, etc. May be taken two years. Fee of $20.00 required.

Grade: 11th - 12th only
Credit: 2 units per year

Exploring Aqua-culture
A laboratory oriented course involving water use, water management, maintain plant growth and propagation structures.

Prerequisite: Applied Ag. Science
