SPECIAL
EDUCATION
(as
available)
Special education classes strive
to serve the student with special educational needs. Students
are enrolled in these classes upon recommendation of the ARD
(Admit, Review, and Dismissal) Committee. The student's IEP
(Individual Education Plan) determines the manner in which content
and teaching methods are to meet the educational needs of each
student.
Special education students are often enrolled in regular classes
with modifications in assignments being determined by the ARD
Committee. After a student has received initial instruction
in the regular classroom, he/she may go to the Content Mastery
classroom for additional individual assistance.
