Nuclear Envelope

The nuclear envelope has two membranes. Each of these membranes has the typical membrane structure. They include a flattened sac and are connected at the nuclear pore sites. Rough endoplasmic reticulum (ER) is steady with the outer membrane and has ribosomes attached to it. Also, the space in between the outer and inner membranes is also continuous with rough ER; it can fill with recently made proteins very much like the rough ER does. A network of filaments is entangled with the nuclear envelope for stability.
