  • Check-out:
    Patrons are allowed to have 2 items checked out at a time. At this time, we circulate books for a 2 week period. Reference materials and magazines are available, but have a limited circulation period. We're working on circulating audio books and video materials.
  • Fines/Fees:
    Books kept out for an extended period of time past their due date have a fine of $1.00. Patrons are expected to pay the replacement cost of lost or damaged items. The library copier is available for student use at $0.10 per copy.
  • Computers:
    There are 6 computers in the Media Center designated for individual student use.We also house 2 computer labs of 22 and 25 computers. These are primarily for teachers to use in classroom settings, but can be used by individuals when available.
  • The Library Staff:

    Mrs. Leslie Ashby has been with Hudson ISD for 15 years - the past two as the HS Media Specialist. She is a certified teacher/librarian with two Associate degrees from Angelina College, a B.B.A. and teacher certification from SFA, and an all-level librarian certification from Sam Houston. Mrs. Ashby and her husband have 3 kids and an assortment of dogs, cats, horses, and frogs. She loves reading, music, baseball (as a spectator sport only), kids, and the beach.

    Mrs. Joy Fuller has been a paraprofessional at HHS for three years in charge of the Multi-Media Lab and Library Computer Lab. She also runs the Credit Recovery Program for HHS. Mrs Fuller is a 1981 graduate of Hudson High School. She is married to David Fuller and has two daughters who are also HHS graduates and are attending college. Mrs. Fuller enjoys calligraphy, watercolor, drawing, cooking and reading. Mrs Fuller is also attending college and encourages all students to keep learning and growing throughout life.
