A guitar is a musical instrument with a distinctive
shape and a distinctive sound. The best way to learn how a guitar
produces its sound is to start by understanding all of the different
parts that make up the instrument.
A guitar can be divided into three main parts:
| The Body |
The Neck which holds the
frets (protruding bars along the neck that
create different tones and pitches when the strings are pressed
between them). |
The head, which contains
the tuning pegs |
| The pick is used to create a strumming or
picking sound without using your fingers. |
