Level III (Three)

Total amount of award is $800 (Multiple names will be drawn each cycle).

To successfully complete Level III, a tacher must investigate, select and use multiple methods to communicate
with both parents and with students.

Parent and student communication is a vital component of teaching.   There are several platforms available for a teacher to use for these purposes.   Currently the district supports the following:

  1. Weekly newsletters (paper, digitally or online)

  1. Email and phone contact with parents through Skyward gradebook.   All contact information is pulled directly from SKYWARD. Parents enter their own information into skyward at the beginning of each school year during the student registration/enrollment process.  Information in Gradebook is synced daily with Skyward.

  1. Email and text contact with parents through ENOTES (CampusLife).  All contact information is synced with SKYWARD.  A teacher can set up individual classes and pull contact information for each student into classes.   New students must be manually selected and added to classes and students that leave must be manually removed from classes.  Parents have indicated that text messages are the most preferred method of parent contact.

  1. Teachers may be provided with student school email contact information for the students in their classes.  The information can be used to set up student contact lists in ENOTES (CampusLife). New students must be manually added to classes and students that leave must be manually removed from classes.

  1. Examples of other platforms that are approved for use are SeeSaw, Class DOJO, Google classroom and Remind.  Teachers are responsible for setting up and maintaining appropriate documentation of all communications.

*There are rules and regulations governing the content of communications between teachers and parents and between a teacher and a student.   Please remember to ALWAYS abide by these guidelines. Failure to abide by these guidelines can result in a variety of disciplinary actions including the loss of teaching credentials and/or criminal charges.
