Creating CUSTOM LISTS for individual classes or courses
Custom Lists can be created by selecting individual from skyward database, manually creating using data from grade level skyward database, or by importing a CSV file.
The person that creates a custom list has rights to the LIST, but can grant others the privilege of using the same custom list. There is no need to create duplicates of a custom list.
Sending message to a Custom List of Students, Parents, Employees
Sending message to students via student’s school email:
1. Teachers can communicate via SeeSaw or Canvas
2. Custom Grade Level Lists of student’s emails have been created for High School. New Students that enrolled after the import will need to be added manually to appropriate group.
HUDSON ISD DOES NOT maintain a database of students’s personal phone numbers.
Communication with students should be done via SeeSaw, Canvas, Campus Life, or other approved venue that meets TEA guidelines for communicating with students.
High School students that are receiving services from the College and Career Center are given an opportunity to sign up to receive text messages from the CCC Coordinator regarding upcoming testing dates, college visits, application deadlines, etc. The database is used solely for communicating infromation that pertains to the CCC.
Help in setting up Custom Lists, using databases pulled from skyward, etc. is just a phone call or text message away. We are here to assist at any time.
