Joan Davis Ragland, B.S. (1970), M.ED.(1974), SFASU
Mrs. Ragland has been an employee of the Hudson School District since the fall of 1978.
Job assignments have included the following: 7th grade Science teacher; 7th grade math teacher, driver education instructor, Integrated Studies teacher and Science/Social Studies Curriculum Specialist K-12. She has served as sponsor/coach of many extra-curricular groups such as middle school cheerleaders, swim team, ABBIT, UIL, STACK and GEAR UP Coordinator. Currently she is the Instructional Technology Specialist for the District.
Mrs. Ragland enjoys sharing her love of learning with students, co-workers, and peers. She has presented at numerous local, state, and national conventions and events.......from East Texas to Norfolk, Virginia; Washington, D.C.; Racine, Wisconsin; San Francisco, California, and stops along the way.
Mrs. Ragland and her husband reside in Nogalus Prairie. They have two children, four grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ragland is a member of the Prairie View Methodist Church, the Texas Computer Education Association, the Daughters of the American Revolution, the Daughters of the Republic of Texas, the United Daughters of the Confederacy. the Daughters of Union Civil War Veterans, The Order of the Steel Magnolias, Descent of the Valley Forge Winter Encampment 1777-1778, Descendants of the Texas Rangers, Hood’s Texas Brigade Association, Re-activated, and First Families of Texas.
